WHAT IS A DISCRETIONERY WARRANTY?
Our plans operate on a discretionary basis (as opposed to being insurance policies), which means that we will exercise our discretion, acting reasonably, when it comes to any requests for repairs and replacements. In doing so we take pride in treating our customers reasonably and fairly.
Discretionary protection plans can offer more flexibility in terms and conditions and how requests for repairs and replacements are dealt with. Decisions can be made quickly and also in-house, often resulting in a better service with faster turnaround times. That means that if we approve a repair or replacement, we can have your broken appliance working again as soon as possible, minimising any inconvenience to you and your household.

Carrying out an annual service of your boiler can help keep your boiler running safely and efficiently and reduce the risk of any breakdowns.
Inspection of your boiler and its controls to ensure they are working properly
Check for corrosion and leaks
Check Gas pressure is correct
Test of the flue to make sure it is not emitting any unsafe fumes
Any repairs or replacements
Keeping your boiler safe with an annual check can help extend the lifespan of your boiler. Our ongoing Protection Plans offer a Service every year to protect against breakdowns. If you are keen to guard against unexpected bills and want the peace of mind knowing that your boiler is protected by Service Box, please consider taking out one of our protection plans. There are two options, protect your boiler only or include protection for your central heating system as well.

Fully qualified Gas Safe registered engineers
£1,500 breakdown cover - includes parts and labour
£750 Boiler replacement – if your boiler needs to be replaced and is under 7 years old, we will provide a new boiler up to this value. If your boiler is over 7 years old we will make a contribution
£60 contribution fee applies on call outs.
Boiler only cover does not include repairs to your central heating system
Removing sludge / scale and the damage it causes to your system
Pre-existing faults
Basic / regular tasks detailed in your usual manual. I.e. resetting controls, bleeding radiators and repressurising
Annual boiler service & safety check
We look after your boiler and central heating system; which includes controls, radiators and hot water cylinder.
Fully qualified Gas Safe registered engineers
£1,500 breakdown cover - includes parts and labour
£750 Boiler replacement – if your boiler needs to be replaced and is under 7 years old, we will provide a new boiler up to this value. If your boiler is over 7 years old we will make a contribution.
Removing sludge / scale and the damage it causes to your system
Pre-existing faults
Basic / regular tasks detailed in your usual manual. I.e. resetting controls, bleeding radiators and repressurising
Storage heaters and underfloor heating systems
Peripheral plumbing items such as taps, showers and towel rails
